Botanical Bliss Mattress Overview
A customizable, eco-friendly latex mattress that blends comfort and durability.Check Price
An all-latex mattress, the Botanical Bliss is made of 3 to 4 layers of natural, organic Dunlop latex from Arpico. Each layer comes in a different firmness level, which we’ll go over in more detail below, and can be rearranged in the order you want. You can also choose the thickness of your Botanical Bliss mattress: the 9’’ option has two 3’’ layers and one 2’’ layer, the 10’’ has three 3’’ layers, and the 12’’ option has three 3’’ layers and one 2’’ layer. The same is true for the Queen, King, and Cal King options, which you can get in split firmnesses.
All of this is in addition to a 1’’ cover woven out of cotton and wool. Both the cotton and the wool are certified organic, and all materials in the Botanical Bliss comes with a number of certifications, including the bad-chemical-free OEKO-TEX guarantee.
You can actually get the Botanical Bliss in two different firmness settings: medium and medium-firm. Medium strikes the balance between soft, bouncy cushioning and tough support, while medium-firm amps up the support so you don’t sink into the mattress, while still staying soft enough to cushion the body comfortably.
Although these firmness levels apply to the mattress overall, each layer of the mattress comes in a different firmness to achieve that feel. Depending on what thickness you want, the medium is made up of soft, medium, and medium-firm layers or soft, medium, medium-firm, and medium-firm layers, while the medium-firm is made up of medium, medium-firm, and ultra-firm layers or medium, medium-firm, medium-firm, and ultra-firm layers. The order of these layers can be changed according to your personal preference.
PlushBeds recommends the medium for side sleepers and lighter and average-weight people, and the medium-firm for stomach/back sleepers and people weighing above 275 lbs.

Botanical Bliss Mattress Breakdown
This section answers the top seven most commonly asked questions about the Botanical Bliss. To get a better idea of how we choose and review our mattresses, check out our detailed methodology page.
Is it made from quality materials?
From top to bottom, the Botanical Bliss is made from high-quality, all-organic and all-natural materials. The cotton in the cover, the New Zealand wool in the batting, and the Arpico-sourced Dunlop latex in the mattress layers are all GOTS certified, which means they’re guaranteed to not only be organic, but have met certain manufacturing standards. Like other PlushBeds mattresses, the Botanical Bliss also comes with a high number of other purity certifications, including eco-INSTITUT and OEKO-TEX, that make sure it’s eco-friendly and doesn’t have any bad substances or chemicals.
How long will it last?
Because of the high-quality materials used to make the Botanical Bliss, it should last for quite some time – at least seven years. Reviewers who’ve had it for this long report they’re still going strong. Additionally, every PlushBeds mattress comes with a 25-year limited warranty.
How well does it conform to my body?
Although memory foam is the material that pops into most people’s heads when we talk about mattresses that conform, latex mattresses are just as good at conforming to your body. Plus, unlike memory foam, latex doesn’t sag or sink. This means your Botanical Bliss will not only “hug” your body the way memory foam mattresses do, but it will also stay bouncy enough for sex.
Is the edge supportive?
Because there isn’t any metal in latex and memory foam mattresses, you should expect less edge support in your Botanical Bliss compared to an average innerspring mattress. This means you may experience at least a little bit of sink when sitting or sleeping on the edge of your mattress, and it’s pretty much unavoidable with the vast majority of all-latex and all-foam mattresses on the market. That said, reviewers who mentioned it reported the edges are quite strong, so it should give you more edge support than many latex mattresses on the market.
Does it sleep hot?
One of the big advantages of latex mattresses is how naturally cooling they are, since they don’t trap heat the way memory foam does. Because all of the Botanical Bliss’ layers are all made of 100% natural Dunlop latex, it should keep you staying cool throughout the night. The materials used in the cover also have properties to help keep you cool: the organic cotton cover doesn’t block airflow and absorbs moisture (i.e. sweat), while the organic wool batting is naturally breathable and helps regulate your temperature.
Will it off-gas when it’s delivered?
Like with all mattresses that are made with latex and memory foam, you may experience a little bit of off-gassing when you first unbox your Botanical Bliss. That said, this smell is much less noticeable with mattresses made out of all-natural latex, and most reviewers reported having no smell whatsoever. Because of the Botanical Bliss’ many green and non-hazardous certifications, any off-gassing you do get will be 100% harmless.
Will I feel my partner move during the night?
Because the latex in the Botanical Bliss is first turned into foam that contours to your body, you shouldn’t have any problem with motion transfer. That means you won’t be disturbed when your partner changes sleeping positions or gets up throughout the night. The latex will isolate that movement to their part of the bed.
Who is Best Suited for a Botanical Bliss Mattress?
Because the Botanical Bliss has so many customization options, it accommodates most sleepers—regardless of sleeping position or weight. At a medium firmness, the mattress is designed for side sleepers and everyone below 275 lbs, while the medium-firm option should serve people who weigh more than 275 lbs and stomach and back sleepers quite well. People who need a thinner or thicker mattress can also adjust it to the height that works best for them.
It’s also great for couples. Not only is the latex designed to keep people’s movements to their sides of the bed, but you can also get the Botanical Bliss customized with a different firmness on each side if you get it in the King and Cal King sizes. Additionally, latex stays bouncy even as it hugs the body, which makes the Botanical Bliss great for sex.
Since latex, cotton, and wool is naturally cooling, we’d also recommend the Botanical Bliss for anyone who has trouble staying cool throughout the night, but doesn’t want to give up the comfort of a memory foam mattress. And because the Botanical Bliss comes with a lot of certifications that guarantees it’s made sustainably, it’s a good choice for people who want to shop ethically. All of the green and non-hazardous certifications also make it suitable for people with sensitive skin and allergies, and because latex is both supportive and comfortable, it’s good for people who have issues with back and joint pain when sleeping.
Ready to Buy a Botanical Bliss Mattress?
Before you decide on the Botanical Bliss, you should take a moment to familiarize yourself with PlushBeds’ sleep trial, warranty, and availability, and delivery policies.
All PlushBeds mattresses come with an industry-standard 100-night sleep trial. Like many other mattress companies, PlushBeds requires customers try out their mattresses for at least 30 days before returning a mattress for a full refund. (If you decide to return it before then, you pay a $99 accessories fee that will be automatically subtracted from your refund.) After that, you can return your mattress for a full refund any time before the 100 nights are up, as long as your mattress isn’t dirty, stained, or damaged by smoke. All you have to do is pack your mattress back in the box, and PlushBeds will take care of the pick-up.
Like many other mattress companies, PlushBeds offers a 25-year limited warranty. Basically, for the first 10 years, PlushBeds will either replace or fix your mattress, as long as your mattress defects are approved. (Examples of things that aren’t covered: body impressions less than 1.5 inches, comfort preference, mattresses used on inappropriate foundations and box springs, etc.) Then, for the next 15 years of the warranty, any repairs or replacements will come with an extra charge that starts at 50 percent of how much you paid for the mattress. This price will go up 3% each year. For more details on what PlushBeds’ warranty covers and how it works, check out the policy page.
Availability and Delivery
The Botanical Bliss is available for purchase straight from the PlushBeds website, as well as partners and retailers like Amazon and HomeDepot. We’d recommend you buy it from PlushBeds directly, though, because the 100-night sleep trial doesn’t apply to PlushBeds mattresses bought from other retailers.
